Batik is a technique of masterful, artistic, wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth, or cloth made using this technique. Indonesian batik is an ancient technique known world-wide as being the most developed in terms of pattern, technique, and the quality of workmanship.

Each piece in this collection is made from a one-off, individually sourced and selected antique sarong. No two pieces are alike. The vintage sarongs used in this collection have been very carefully curated from the Sasak people of the island of Lombok. Sasak can be roughly translated to 'original inhabitants of the islands.'
